Head and Neck surgery regards surgery of benign and malignant lesions in the head and neck, such as surgery of the salivary glands, removal of lymph nodes, neck dissection, thyroid surgery, laryngectomy, ...

Head and Neck rehabilitation mainly concerns restoring swallowing and communication (voice/speech). Very often this concerns a multidisciplinary approach for which a close collaboration with a specialised speech pathologist is preferred.
